Windows 7 won't install on GPT partition + Can't boot from USB [UEFI]
I've downloaded Windows 7 and made a bootable USB drive. I installed Windows on a couple of PC's and my HP laptop. I've noted that when installing on laptop, I've had some issues. In BIOS settings, the boot mode was selected to UEFI and no matter the boot sequence, it just wouldn't boot from USB (note: there was a USB Hard Drive and a USB Generic Volume option and I've checked the 'boot from USB device option' above). I've solved the problem by switching to Legacy boot. It booted from USB with no problems and Windows got installed correctly. I've done the same thing on an another HP laptop, (same thing, UEFI wouldn't boot from USB, while Legacy would) only this time to see that all of the partitions are formatted as GPT and I get a message saying that Windows can't be installed on a GPT partition. I am presuming that this is due to the legacy boot mode (my overall knowledge is very low, so if any of this doesn't make sense please forgive me).
I was wondering if there is ANY way I can install Windows 7, or higher, I don't care, on this laptop? Thanks for your time
