Windows 7 install locking up on "completing installation"

I am trying to do a clean re-install on my PC. I followed this sites tutorials on cleaning and partitioning the drive before installing, but I can't get past the first reboot. Yesterday I only did a "clean" in diskpart, partitioned files, and let the computer mull on it overnight. 15 hours later, it was still on the "Completing Installation" phase. Okay, that seemed like an excessive wait. I went back and ran "clean all", lather, rinse, repeat.

The PC rebooted once to get to the "Completing Installation" phase, and there it has been sitting for over two hours in suspicious silence. How do I fix this? Or how do I at least find out what's causing the hold up?
