As was mentioned earlier, on your secondary comp load the W10 Technical preview, the latest came out 5 days ago and they are currently launching new versions roughly once a month for those on the fast ring.
note the current version is stable and as an added bonus USB3 drivers are included.

you assume too much! i actually upgraded my windows 7 box a few months after it came out, it is IMO a POS the way it upgrades from Windows 7 screwing up programs, the interface etc etc. that is why i want to put it on a different build i have.
I didn`t assume anything, you said you have another box to install 10 on, so buy 10 and install it on that box.

You never say anything about having 7 on that box already, so buy 10 or use the Preview.

If you don`t like 10, then why are you even bothering with it ???????

Having Windows 7 on 1 PC has nothing to do with the ability to install 10 on a completely different PC, why do you even mention your Windows 7 PC in your 1st statement ???

Of course you can use the link you provided, why would you think you couldn`t ?

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10

Why would you ever upgrade to 10 on your 7 box, without knowing full hand what it looks like etc etc etc ???

And doing an upgrade from 7 to 10 has worked fine for millions of people, and it does not screw up any programs.

would i have to buy a seperate key if i download the ISO image?
Because you have to buy 10 if you are not going to upgrade from 7 or 8.1 for free, what don`t you understand about that ?

And I posted a link for you to buy Windows 10.

As stated numerous times, you either upgrade from 7 or 8 for free or you buy Windows 10.

Of course you need a key, you don`t get to use and activate a windows version just because you have an iso file
