Hi yes it should be possible. I would check if their are drivers for the hardware first.

I know this has been said many times here, but with 5 minutes of tweaking you can more or less turn Win10 into Win7. I removed cortana, installed Firefox, added Classic Shell for the start menu and Media Center for my TV tuner card. Basically, this pc is now Win7 - no stupid tiles etc see pic

You can also turn off the so-called telemetry.

You don't even need to go as far as wasnotwas. No need to remove Cortana, just don't use it. Classic Shell is totally unnecessary as is Media Center (unless you have a TV tuner card). You can delete the tiles from the Start menu (or just ignore them).

Wasnotwas doesn't mention anything about Win 10's data collection which irks many users, especially those with a low data cap from their isp.

The main show stopper for going back to Win 7 on a machine designed for Win 10 is the availability of Win 7 compatible drivers.

I removed cortana from the task bar because I didn't want it taking up space.

I use Classic Shell because the Windows start menu has a gazillion apps that I either don't use, don't have or don't want eg Get Skype, Get Office, Money, Messaging, One Drive, One Note, People, Money, News, Sport, Sway, Phone Companion, Groove music ... the list goes on. My stuff is buried in all that cr*p. With Classic Shell just my installed software is in the menu.

All I want from an OS is for it to run the hardware and support programs I use. I don't need Microsoft badgering me to buy Office etc.

BTW - re: WMC - I use a TV tuner card.
