Which Windows 7 ISO to download?

Replacing the hdd on my old laptop with a 120gb ssd but cannot find my recovery disk i made. Decided to go the USB route. The laptop previously ran Windows 7 Home 64 bit and i found a list of ISOs on digitalriver technet (Microsoft DigitalRiver Mirror) but i'm lost to which file to download? there are multiple Windows 7 Home premium and basic files. I have also already downloaded the windows 7 tool from microsoft's website.

*edit: would this be the correct file? en_windows_7_home_premium_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_676549.iso

Thanks, that is the file i chose and used Rufus to transfer to the USB. Popped in the new SSD and windows is currently installing (happy dance). my laptop currently has 4gb of ram....is it worth it and possible to update to Windows 10 after the install of 7 is complete?

    Hi,
No need to use torrents anymore you can use TechBench downloads and Chrome and the Raw paste on the other site on the article
Download Windows 7 and 8.1 ISO Images from Microsoft - gHacks Tech News

As I said when you posted that link a few days ago, I don't see that as better or easier that the two torrent sites. Using the method you linked to requires you to repatch the console every time you want to download an ISO. If there is some way that you only need to do the patch once then I agree it would be a better way to go.

    Hi,
That's all I was saying most people only need one download and have it for 24hrs :)

I do appreciate your work on the other process though saved a lot of confusion in torrent clients alone

The real fix for the type of problem is for Microsoft to stop being a PITA and make the ISOs available for all Windows OSes, from XP through Windows 10.

    :Soapbox On:
It just seems stupid to me to make people jump through hoops or do weird things to get an ISO so they can install or repair a Windows operating system. If they don't have a valid key then it makes no difference so why punish the legal, honorable users to annoy the illegal, dishonorable users (that's all it is, annoyance, as they all know how to get a cracked version when they want).
