Remove Win10 HD - Install Win 7 HD

I have a Dell that came with Win8.1 installed and I updated to Win10.

I have decided to remove the Win10 HD, put it on the shelf, install a new bare HD and install a legal full retail version of Win7 OS on it. I will occasionally reinstall the Win10 HD to keep it updated, but will use the Win7 for daily use. Possibly sometime in the distant future I will go back to Windows 10 HD for daily use.

Is there anything I need to know except turning off Secure Boot in Bios? The PC was originally Win8.1 so I don't know what other 'features' would need to be changed. Has anyone done this before?

UEFI, Legacy boot, there are a few things that may need to be changed in the bios.

Did you install 7 yet ?

Win-7-Pro64bit 7-H-Prem-64bit

Which exact model ?
Beside secure boot you'll need to peak at the CSM options and make sure it can be switched from UEFI Only.
Otherwise post some images of the bios settings you have.

Problems trying to install Win7Pro on a Dell bought with Win10
Hi, I bought my Dell Inspiron 10 7000 (7559) in Feb, it has been nothing but trouble, which I am sure relates to Win10, so I want to downgrade. (My understanding was that it was an original Win10 machine, but since attempting this Win7 install I have realised that it may not be the case.) I...

Remove win10 upgrade option through group policy with .bat script
So I found a thread by "Brink" that suggests removing the option to upgrade your OS (therefore remove the pesky win10 prompts) from the group policy editor. This is only available on win 7 pro. I work with many small networks literally over 1500 individual machines sub divided into hundreds of...
