Windows7 installation says driver missing on New HP G3-450 Laptop

    Dear Team
I have recently bought an HP G3 450 ProBook, (i7 6500U, 8GB Ram, 1 TB Hard Drive 2 GB Graphic) since I have an unused original windows 7 which I have purchased some years back.

I have created an USB Bootable device, and tried installing this on my new laptop, it shows

Load Driver : A required CD/DVD Drive device driver is missing.

This laptop has an HP Bios, could not find any other logo of bios .

Can you please help me with bios settings/other advises to enable installation, I have tried various combinations in Bios Set up, but no use. Thanks in advance for your help

    Hi Jacob,
First get a copy of the required driver/s from the manufacturers website for your model,
    then read this tutorial
Device Manager - Access During Windows 7 Installation
Drivers can be added at stage 6.

It`s asking for drivers for your usb install device.

The Windows 7 installer does not have the necessary drivers to install from a usb stick.

Windows 8, 8.1 or 10 would install no problem.

Does the Pro Book not have a dvd drive ??

AddRAM is correct, Windows 7 does not have USB 3 drivers. If you have any USB 2 ports on your laptop, use one of them. USB 3 ports are usually blue and USB 2 are black. Move the USB bootable device to a USB 2 port. It should install just fine.

That may or may not work, I have no idea what type of motherboard is in the ProBook, if it`s anything close to a Z170, a usb stick just won`t work to install 7 without having the necessary drivers.

It doesn`t matter if you use a 2.0 port, in my case the Z170 still asked for the drivers, the OP will have to get back to us on that.

If this ProBook has a dvd drive just create an install dvd and use that to install 7.
