    Damn.. help me


    Well i bought a new laptop yesterday (best buy specal). sooo i did the instalation and unknowingly installed it in 32 bit................. sssssssssssooooooo some one give me some bad news.. i dont mind going a fresh instal but as everyone probally knows new laptops dont come with windows cds... at lease not from best buy.. so what i can i do.. what are my options..

    Did you buy a Vista machine and then install Windows 7? How did you get Windows 7 32 Bit?

    Think I'd call Best Buy and see what can be done.

    yeah its a win7 machine.. one of the first options during the install was to choose between 32 and 64 bit

    You're not in trouble. You can install the 64 bit version without reverting to Vista.

    (The 32 bit install will qualify an upgrade version of Win7. You'll have to boot from the DVD and do a clean install.)

    Chances are that your system has a restore partition that will let you do the entire process again, and make the right choice. No phone call should be needed. Boot the machine and look for "Recovery" options. You'll want to restore back to factory defaults.
