"setup was unable to create new system partition" no error log

Hi. Just spent the last 48 hours trying to install a fresh Win 7 on my pc. I used Ubuntu before and formated the drive from GParted in Ubuntu.

I'm running into the error: "setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition"

    I have tried:
    1. Running through this:
    DiskPart <ENTER>
    list disk <ENTER>
    select disk 0 <ENTER>
    clean <ENTER>
    create partition primary align=1024 <ENTER>
    format fs=ntfs <ENTER> (Will Take a While)
    assign <ENTER>
    active <ENTER>
    exit <ENTER>
    exit <ENTER>

    2. Switched to a different ISO to test if the first one was corrupted or something.
    3. Fiddled with all sorts of USB settings, boot settings etc..
    4. Tried that trick of removing the USB stick and putting it back in before choosing which drive to install on.
    5. Tried load the ISO to USB with both Windows USB Loader tool and Rufus.

AND on top of all this, I can't access the setuperr.log file since I get "Access Denied" trying to open it.

The drive is an SSD with 120gb capacity, that's all I know about it without opening up the whole body.
I'll be bald if this continous. Pulling my hair like an idiot over this.

    Thanks in advance!

It`s because you are more then likely installing to a GPT drive using the UEFI bios.

Switch the bios to legacy or legacy & uefi, yes bios`s have that option.

    Convert the drive to MBR

Convert GPT Disk to MBR Disk

Windows will now install no problem :)

During the install, delete the entire drive to unallocated space unless you have a data partition, if so then just format your install partition.
