Windows 7 x64 "Setup unable to create system partition"

Hey everyone,
I've searched quite extensively and followed quite a few guides on how to install windows 7 with UEFI.
I've got a Dell latitude E6540 laptop with a new WD 500GB blue HD. Every time I try to install Windows 7 Pro x64 I get the:
"Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the Setup log files for more information."
I've followed the following threads with no avail:
Setup was unable to create a new system partition

Any help with this would be very appreciated.

the drive has to be GPT and not MBR, and this still might not work.

Windows 7 is not worth the effort of UEFI, just go Legacy boot and MBR.

If you`ve tried Legacy boot and you still get that message then the drive could still be initialized as GPT, (as the drive is new) it has to be converted to MBR

Convert GPT Disk to MBR Disk

I got it figured. The UEFI boot to CD/DVD was emulated legacy, which would not allow the installer to see the HD as a boot device. Turn off legacy emulation while in UEFI? absolutely no way to boot from CD/DVD... so back to full legacy... now installing
