Where did you get the install dvd from ?

Did you create it ? It could be faulty.

If not I`d add at least another stick of memory and try again.

Try using a usb installer instead.

The dvd is not faulty because the dvd works fine on my friend's PC and i had also tried by using USB drive but the same problem continues.

    You need more memory.
If you are installing Win7 32, add another 1G, same specification.
    If you are installing Win7 64 replace with 2 x 2G DDR2 800.
My suggestion is, even if If you are installing Win7 32, replace with 2 x 2G DDR2 800.

I've asked what is the Motherboard manufacturer and model not the CPU?
First of all: Update your BIOS.
    Set SATA to AHCI
    Try to install Windows
