Need help installing win7 ultimate to asus notebook

    Hi

I have Asus K501UX-Q72S-CB Bilingual Notebook, i7-6500U windows 10 installed. I would like to wipeout the harddrive and install win7 ultimate.

Use rufus to create the win7 installer but got stuck during installation on the language screen with no mouse cursor.

    Please help.

Does it have usb 3.0 ports, you could hook up an external mouse and keyboard.

But you`d have to create a windows 7 installer with the usb 3.0 drivers integrated and start over.

I use Asus EZ Installer, works like a charm.

The specs say it has 2 usb 2.0 ports, you should be able to use those to hook up a mouse and keyboard.

I am using the keyboard and the mouse pad on the asus notebook. Keyboard works ok but the mouse pad does not.

Where can I download the ASUS support DVD with EZ installer ? I search the net still cannot find the link.

The bad news are that, on some new hardware, Win 7 can't be installed. Is Windows 7 x64 UEFI install even possible?
Create the recovery DVD disks (or USB flash disk) before you attempt to install Win 7. Doing so, you can always restore to factory default.
To create a Win 7 installation disk that work not only to install but also to repair, have a look at my tutorial

I gave you the link, you download the EZ Installer files from Asus.

Then choose the Operating System, then utilities, then scroll down to EZ Installer.

The thing is, you`d need a Windows 7 install dvd or iso file on a working computer to create the usb stick.

But you would still need the mousepad drivers, so I don`t think this method will work for you.

It would be much easier to hookup a keyboard and mouse.

You shouldn`t even need the mouse pad to finish your install, the keyboard can do everything.

For the mouse pad, there should have a button to switch On or Off.
The button to press should be near to the mouse pad or on one of the key.
As most laptop may or rather should have, to prevent accidentally touch the mouse pad.
It is best to download the manual for easy reference.

That`s because it came with Windows 10

It`s new hardware, everyone has problems with it.
