Issues installing Win7 on my Acer laptop...

Hi - I got a new hard drive for my Acer laptop. I tried many things in the tutorials to no avail.

    Hard Drive: Toshiba (3935) 7mm 500GB Serial ATA-2.6 5400RPM HDD

    Laptop: Acer Aspire V5-122P-0408

The last thing I did was I hit Shift-F10 and run the diskpart command and eventually put in this command, as stated in the help forums:
    DISKPART
    LIST DISK
SELECT DISK 0 (after confirming Windows 7 target HD #)
    CLEAN
    CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
    FORMAT FS=NTFS LABEL="WINDOWS 7"
    ACTIVE
    EXIT
    EXIT

It goes to 100%...Still, I am unable to install Win7. It says "Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the setup log files for more information." whenever I try.

I see this "Load Drivers" clickable link...would I ever have to load any drivers at this point? If so, what kind/where?

I'm at a loss for what to do. BIOS sees the hard drive. I can partition it. But I just can't install onto it. Helllp!

    Thank you!!

Thank you for that. But unless I'm wrong, I don't think I got an SSD. The SKU # is MQ01ABF050-41.

And my only options other than AHCI is IDE in BIOS.

    What do you think? Thanks!!
