install windows 7 evaluation period?

    install windows 7 evaluation period?


    Hi i was told on another forum that I can install a copy of win7 on my desktop that i have already installed on my laptop without putting the serial code in for evaluation period of 30 days while iam waiting for my new copy of windows 7, is this true?

    You will be fine for 30 days, just remember to deselect automatically activate when connected during the install!

    Only 1 possible issue... what version are you trying for 30 days, and what version will you order and install later?

    windows 7 pro, and I will be getting win7 home premium.

    Now that's a possible issue... you cant upgrade from Pro to Home Premium. You will have to perform a clean install!

    Then what are you waiting for? Get in there and install!

    BTW - check into the Easy Transfer tool if you want to migrate any settings and or docs when you do that clean install in 30 days!

    just another issue i have i want to keep the few movies and software i have downloaded, but my usb drives are only 1gb each and i only have 2, so can I make another partion about 5gb in size and transfer all my thing to their then just reinstall them when i have installed win 7?

    Or do you have an external HDD or old HDD laying around? Or transfer them to your lappy temporarily!
