Partition-size fail when Windows 7 was installed yesterday
When my Windows 7 was installed, it gave me only a 55MB partition for the "System Reserved" I need to resize my partition to give it enough room so that I can make a "Create a System Image" set of discs. I'm not sure why it made the partition so small (I had no input on this) but it says that there's not enough disk space to create the volume shadow copy, so a backup is not possible.
I want to follow along with a tutorial that I found on this site:
Page Start
My plan is to use EASEUS Partition Master or MiniTool Partition but there is a snag as the author suggests to do the impossible task of backing up the "System Reserved" data first, using a free trial that is no longer available for Acronis True Image Home. Is there a trustworthy, cost-free alternative for local backup to a DVD disk, that would work so that I can follow this tutorial.
Secondly, it's a very basic question, but what menus do I have to click through to ensure this is done:
"Note: We strongly recommend you turn off Power Saving feature and close all other applications..."
