Partition-size fail when Windows 7 was installed yesterday

When my Windows 7 was installed, it gave me only a 55MB partition for the "System Reserved" I need to resize my partition to give it enough room so that I can make a "Create a System Image" set of discs. I'm not sure why it made the partition so small (I had no input on this) but it says that there's not enough disk space to create the volume shadow copy, so a backup is not possible.

I want to follow along with a tutorial that I found on this site:

    Page Start

My plan is to use EASEUS Partition Master or MiniTool Partition but there is a snag as the author suggests to do the impossible task of backing up the "System Reserved" data first, using a free trial that is no longer available for Acronis True Image Home. Is there a trustworthy, cost-free alternative for local backup to a DVD disk, that would work so that I can follow this tutorial.

Secondly, it's a very basic question, but what menus do I have to click through to ensure this is done:
"Note: We strongly recommend you turn off Power Saving feature and close all other applications..."

Take a snapshot of Disk Manager (Expand the columns so we can see the details) and upload it so we can see your disk.
To upload use the Manage Attachments, below on this page.

To turn off Power Saving go to Control panel, Power options and select High Performance profile.

    Hi,
You should just use easy bcd to copy the boot loader to the C partition.
Bootmgr - Move to C:\ with EasyBCD

System images are best using free macrium reflect
    Imaging with free Macrium

System reserved has nothing to do with your problem on creating a a backup image.
With Disk Manager, expand your C: partition to the end to use the space where is now unallocated.
Then try to make your backup image using free macrium reflect .

I`ve never seen windows create a 55 MB SR partition, it`s always been 100 MB.

That entire drive should be dedicated to Windows, it`s too small for another partition, but if that`s all you have then give windows at least 100 GB

If you don`t want to use Hibernation then disable it to regain some space, if you intend to create disk images then you could also turn off system restore to gain some more space.

Where do you intend to store your backup ?

If you had created an install partition or created 1 partition out of the entire drive you would not have a SR partition, it`s just wasted space in my opinion.

And this is just an opinion from past usage, but AVG is pure garbage.

Example, and ignore the fact I do not use a page file.

Thank you for your suggestions. Macrium looks like it's the way to go.
