Dual Boot - Windows 7x64 UEFI Install BSOD on Reboot 0x0000007e
Hi all,
So I got a new laptop its a Lenovo Y700-15ISK, UEFI Bios. I am trying to get the machine to dual boot Windows 7 and Windows 10. I installed Windows 10 first, no problem. Windows 7x64 is just not working.
My windows 10 was a fresh install, slipstreamed updates and drivers from Lenovo using NTLite.
Windows 7, slipstreamed all Lenovo Windows 7x64 drivers, also windows updates (sp2). Windows seems to install fine but when it reboots after the install and boot picks Windows 7 from the Windows Boot Manager, I get a blue screen! 0x0000007e. I installed the USB 3 drivers via NTLite in booth the install.wim and boot.wim. I don't have an issue with is asking for drivers at the Windows 7 install.
After installing Windows 10, I made these changes to the bios.
- Boot mode: Legacy Support
- Boot Priority: Legacy First
- Turned off OS Optimized defaults
Installed Windows 7x64 from usb stick, install seems to work but when it reboots,- BSOD BLUE SCREEN! Same error 0x0000007e
Also unable to boot into windows 7 using safe mode. I get as far as:
C:/Windows/System32/drivers/disk.sys
then it BSOD's
Totally totally at a loss right now!
