Unconfuse us, are you saying Windows Update does not/will not work ?

There`s an easy fix for that.

The sooner you reply the sooner we can help.
As I said updates have always been off which doesn't mean updates don't work so I chose to switch updates off.
But this is a different topic which will divert from the point of this tread.
I got the ISO so I'll clean install the system.

Well if you want to install IE11, you have to have updates on and install the necessary updates up to a certain point before IE11 will even install.

Even if you clean install you`ll still have to do this. Windows 7 is now a snap to install again, and if you do reply #2 in this thread, you`ll have no issue with updates.

Windows Update will not update and I've tried multiple fixes

And always keep your settings like this, and here is my list of updates to hide.

But you do what you want, and Good Luck :)

Obviously you didn't read my replays.
I'll integrate the latest updates into the original Win7 SP1 ISO so I'll have an updated disc.

Of course I did, just wondering why you`re wasting your time when just using windows update is so much faster. But it is your time :)

There`s already an unofficial Service Pack 2 with all the updates.

Confused as to why you would create an updated installer and then have a system that you don`t update.

Download it on another computer https://www.heidoc.net/php/Windows%2...Downloader.exe
Run the tool, select the windows version you want, download it, burn a DVD or use Rufus to build a USB flash installation disk.
