Unable to move Desktop folder due to "Unexpected error from PerformRed

Something seems to be corrupt. I receive the above error message when I try to move my desktop from my current location: C:\User\User\Contacts\Desktop to C:\User\User\Desktop. Error message is Unable to move Desktop folder due to "Unexpected error from PerformRedirection" I have no idea how my desktop ended up in my contacts in the first place.

As you can see, the file name or extension is NOT too long. Any suggestions on a fix?

This issue has been present for a few years now. The old restore points have long since been deleted. I ran SFC many times with no luck.

Please reconsider moving Desktop away from Windows Prime default location. When it comes time for updating/upgrading; restoring via Windows repair, restoring from more than one backup image 'cause Desktop is elsewhere -- can be problematic. I have 3 computers running Windows 7 Pro, and I have learned long ago to leave Windows Prime basically alone.
