It might be that a direct download link won't work without ie11 installed.
The ISO download comes from a MS server.
Just like the old MS Update Catalog required using IE and they created a new site that works with other browsers.

Agreed, everyone should have IE11 installed, even if they don`t use it. :)
There are those very rare times when it has to be used.
Can you download from somewhere else (such as a friends house) with a faster connection ?I was in the process of doing that, just my internet sucks so takes aged to download
Josbeph if your internet is slow and you cant download an ISO file(3gb) within 24 hours,i did suggest you to download it directly to a cloud storage with services like multcloud or ctrlq.org etc.Then you can download it as you like
