The correct way to install windows 7 64bit on Dell XPS 8910 machine
Hello,
I got a Dell XPS 8910 with the i7-6700k which comes with Windows 10 installed.
I would like to install windows 7 any with any X32 or X64 bit.
What I did is installed windows 7 ultimate with X64 bit.
The problem I got was during the installation there is no keyboard and there is no mouse working !! and I solve the problem as following :
1- If you have bootable windows 7 usb drive JUMB THIS STEP.
OR You have to make bootable windows 7 usb drive. ( any version you like ).
to do that have windows 7 ISO file and use powerISO software (PowerISO - Create, Burn, Mount, Edit, Compress, Encrypt, Split, Extract ISO file, ISO/BIN converter, Virtual Drive) to make one.
google the internet for this method or any other method to make one.
2 - download Windows 7* USB 3.0 Creator Utility for the windows you are using now (Download Windows 7* USB 3.0 Creator Utility)
3 - plug the bootable windows 7 usb drive in your PC and run the Windows 7 USB 3.0 Creator Utility as administrator.
4 - when the utility start, choose the USB drive path (bootable windows 7 usb drive) and click on creat Image.
when it done. that all !
Take the bootable windows 7 usb drive and use it with Dell XPS 8910 to install windows 7 from usb port as usual.
This method work for me after week of pain :) , Now I have installed windows 7 ultimate on Dell XPS 8910 instead of windows 10 and the problem was no keyboard or mouse working during the installation of windows 7 but after these steps everything works fine with usb keyboard and usb mouse.
I hope this can help somebody facing the same problem.
Happy New Year from Saudi Arabia.

Makman
