    XP Not Booting

    hi to the forum

its been a long time since i visited.i only seem to call when i'm in trouble.i have a windows xp sp3 home desktop computer which is not booting from start or at all.what i mean is i pressed f10 recovery while starting and it asked to insert cd rom which i presume is recovery disc which i do not have as it was never included.this machine is around 12 years old and i only use it for video editing purposes using a Pinacle product.i would be very pleased if some of you could advise me how to obtain a disc or whatever you might think would solve my problem.
as usual my sincere thanks in advance for any solutions.

Official support to Win XP has ended a long time ago so it will be difficult to find one. You'll only find on internet those from suspicious sources. Run antivirus on it.

Most applications on the installation disk are on the disk under C:\Windows\System32.

I can't tell you how to find a Win XP copy on the WEB because it's against the forum rules. Sorry. If you find and download it, scan it for virus and spyware.
