    Beta Version upgrading

    Hey everyone,

On my PC I have a beta release version from earlier this year. I have just purchased a student version of windows 7.

What will be the easiest way to install it?

Reload my PC with Vista, then upgrade using the student version?

    Thanks!

Did you download or do you have a disc? If you downloaded, then burn it to disk and do a clean install would be my recommendation. Make bootable iso from student d/l

    Hope this helps.

If the student version is like the normal retail version, and I believe it is. Just backup your hard drive to be safe (make an image with Acronis et al.) Then do a clean install. No need to worry about Vista. See our tutorials, the upgrade version works just like the retail.. In addition there are those that say that the student version is actually the reatil version and not an upgrade like the product indicates.

    Thanks,

I just used the DVD I made when I downloaded the student version. Installed fine.
My product key did not work though I had to call in and enter them all in.

    Cheers
