    clean install

i was just wondering, is it possible to do a clean install of win 7 after already upgrading the same computer to win 7 by using a bootable .iso made from the digital river download?

GHS, I think so, a clean install will wipe your drive, you can do it over the existing install
I would recommend formatting the partition before (assuming you will delete all you have there)

Yes. Did you burn the ISO to disk since doing the in-place install? I would test it first.

I believe the Digital River downloads turned out to be full retail versions, but that doesn't matter since it will scan your hard drive when it boots up and see the previous OS and allow use of an Upgrade key anyway.

After booting, select Custom>Advanced drive tools and delete your existing, create new partition(s) as you wish, and/or format before install.

You might want to make a Win7 Backup image stored externally so you can easily reimage the HDD in case you want to go back, or just back up your files as all will be wiped.
