Win7 on an SSD boot disk - What size SSD?

    Hi all,

I'm thinking about adding an SSD drive to my Medion PC and was wondering about how much capacity I'll need to buy to make the SSD the boot disk. I know that bigger is better but I'm working on a limited budget so cost is a major consideration. Will 128gb cut it or will I need more gb's to boot Win 7 64bit?

You should be fine with 128G.

128 GB is actually 119 GB, yes it`s fine, but if you could get something in the 180 to 256 GB size it would be better in the long run, but 128 GB is fine too.

Just don`t clutter it up, I`m only using 25 GB of my 250 GB drive.

There are things you can do to lower the amount of space used on a ssd, we could talk about that if and when you get one and have windows installed :)
