Windows 7 Asking For Activation Again Error 0XC004C008

Every few months my Windows 7 Pro 64 bit asks for activation with no changes made to the pc or software whatsoever. The only thing changed this time was updates to MalwareBytes free version and Norton Internet Security updates.

Periodically it also gives Error 0XC004C008 and I have to use telephone activation.

Is there a patch or update that will fix this once and for all, cause it is very unnerving to have spent $150 to buy something, use it for years, and then every few months it develops alzheimers and I have to jump through hoops to get it working right?

    TIA

No, you do not have to spend any money at all.

Just select the toll-free option and go through the steps.

You'll have your activation within 2 minutes.

You could also use this tutorial by Brink.
It will let us have a look and see if we can see the problem.

That error code implies allready in use.
If as your profile states 32 & 64 bit installs you cannot use it on both.

I meant that I spent $150 to buy the OS. It is not an unlicensed installation. So I find these repeated requests for activation very annoying.

I did get my re-activation, but I want to not have to do this over and over every few months.

The Windows 7 Pro 32bit is on my old laptop and has a different CD Key.
That setup is very infrequently used, and has never asked for re-activation.
