Splitting Partition, Duplicating Existing Partiion to 3 or 4 others

Is it possible when I have this new Windows 7 computer setup the way I need it, to split the hard drive in to multiple partitions, copying this good partition and have a boot menu to decide which partition to boot?

I want to do this as from this point on, each bootable windows 7 partition with start to vary (i.e., different instrument support software that is not compatible with other instrument support software. Maybe I can even wipe a partition out and install a bootable Windows XP partition, while having several bootable Windows 7 partitions.

What do I need to do this? Recommendations please.

    Thanks kindly,

    Dave

The 1st thing you would need is an activation key for each install of windows.

As MBR will take the boot sequence to the boot loader on original partition, you will have to add more boot options.
