    How to create a UFD with Windows 7 64-bit PE

    How do I create a bootable USB Flash Drive that loads the Windows Preinstallation Environment (PE)?

    Have:
    * HP Elitebook 8460p
    * running Win 7 64-bit
    * formatted a USB Flash Drive 16GB to NTFS
    * inserted the USB Flash Drive into a USB port on the notebook
    * installed Windows AIK to C:\Program Files\Windows AIK on the notebook

    What do I need to do to create bootable USB Flash Drive that loads Windows PE?

    Probably easiest to d/l this boot media, and use rufus to create ufd from it.

    I d/l Rufus, plugged in 17514x64-v3.iso, booted from UFD and Win 7 64-bit PE loaded followed by SIW2. :) Next I plugged in the Acronis Disk Director iso. When I booted Win 7 64-bit PE loaded followed by ADD12.

    Thank you for help SWI2.
