Need help removing TuneUp Shred command from Recycle Bin context menu

I had AVG PC Tuneup installed and it really worked its way into my system. My fault, I know. But I got rid of it.

I uninstalled it using Revo Uninstaller Pro and removed the registry entries associated with it. That broke my theme so I did a system restore and went back into Revo and pointed it towards the leftover Program Files AVG directory so it could hunt down whatever files it could and help me force delete them (they kept some process running that wouldn't let me access them and I couldn't make them go away).

Thanks Revo! Seems to have done the trick when it comes to removing the files. I do have some in the Program Data directory but I am not sure that makes much of a difference when there are no program files to be associated with (does it?).

The only thing that is still hanging around and bugging me is the TuneUp Shred command on the Recycle Bin context menu. Even the AVG shredder icon for it is broken/missing... How can I get rid of it?

I know it doesn't sound like a big deal but it's irritating.

Ok mate now did you mean you have tried regedit to get rid of the stuff that is irritating you? if not have a look in the HKEYS LOCAL_MACHINE & CURRENT_USER > Software and if there are entries there just right click them and delete.

I am assuming you are aware of the regedit set up but if you don't all you need to do is go to Start > type regedit > right click on the blue box and run as admin but please see below before you do anything in there.

Now BEFORE you do anything in the registry please do this Registry - Backup and Restore

Use regedit and search for "tuneUp Undelete" - delete the key - and you're done!

In my case the location was:

    Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-00AA002F954E}\Shell\TuneUp Undelete
