If you intend to use that laptop often, the 1st thing I would do is pull that hard drive and install a solid state drive, made by Samsung or Intel, whatever you can afford.

If you still want to install windows on the original drive then run the clean command using Diskpart to wipe the Linux code.

You can`t do that until you get a windows 7 install dvd.

I have it all printed out. I'll try running through it again this weekend. I got frustrated the other day and put it down before the laptop ended up in a million pieces.
