how to Redirect W7 to data drive after reinstallation

I just performed a reinstall of W7 64 Ultimate on my SSD (C) drive. I had previously setup my user files on a Data drive (D) separate from the OS drive. Windows has recreated theuser folders on the C. What is the best method to point windows back to my existingUsers folder on the D drive? I'm assuming it a registry setting it might not be that complicated

There is lots of information about moving the users folderto a separate drive from the OS and even restoring it but I’m not findinganything about redirecting it after a reinstallation. Im sure its somewhere…

    Thanks
    Robert

Robert, you have two options to install and move the the data to D:
    - You can install Win 7 on C: (SSD) and change the links of My Documents, My Pictures etc to D: (HDD). That is quite simple and you do it after installation.
    - You can install Win 7 on C: (SSD) and move C:\users to D: (HDD). That is quite simple and you do it during installation. Please read Kari tutorial below.

You can also move C:\users to D: (HDD). I can guide you.

Let me know what you want to do (change the links of My Documents, My Pictures etc to D: (HDD) or move C:\users to D: (HDD))?
