Hi,
One of your hdd's must be very old to be using IDE
My acer bios shows ide or achi so I doubt both could be used of course achi is being used :/

If I understood correctly, I should connect another old HDD which has IDE to the IDE port on the motherboard?

This is exactly the same motherboard as mine. I understand the difference between IDE and SATA

Hi,
Indeed ide should not be used and that board has at least 6 sata connections I have no idea what is up with the ide controller besides it should be disabled when sata achi is being used in bios :/

My HDD is connected to the SATA port and ACHI option is enabled but it still can't finish install Windows 7, maybe there are some other functions to disable besides these which Megahertz07 told me to disable?

Hi,
I don't see or notice any difference in the sata ports but some boards do optimize a couple for raid
I just try a different sata port if you haven't already :/

If you'd like take some images of your bios screens and post them here ?
