Deleting one of two installed versions

I have 2 partitions on my hard drive and had installed a different version of Windows 7 on each.

Wanting to get rid of one of them I made the mistake of simply reformatting the partition.

I now have the situation where I still get two options to choose from, on startup.

Do I have to go into the BIOS to fix this and if so, how? Or is there another method?

Thanks in advance for any help

    That's brilliant - thanks a lot, I'd forgotten about the BCD. I've actually found - https://neosmart.net/EasyBCD/.
