Windows shows 3 partitions -says I can't install Win 7 on any of them.

Had a crash. Trying to re-install Win7 64 Home Premium. When I get to where it says, "where do you want to install Windows?", I choose partition 2 that has 931GB free space. I get an error that says "Winodows cannot be installed to Disk 0 Partition 2. (show details) I click on that and it says, "Windows cannot be installed on this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks".

Help! No clue! TIA Win7 64 HP was just on this computer!

    Here we go again

You are trying to install windows using the Bios in UEFI mode on a MBR drive, that`s why you get the message.

Go into your Bios and switch the boot option to Legacy and you'll have no problem installing windows.

Thank you. I know how to get in to BIOS, I don't know how to find boot options.

You may find if you wait few seconds after trying to boot the dvd ( don't press enter ) the first time, you will get a second option, uefi boot or similar.
