Help - Cannot complete Windows 7 installation.

I have recently bought a new computer and have been trying to install Windows 7. I am now in a loop where I get passed the "Starting Windows" screen and a box opens up saying "Windows cannot complete the installation. To continue installing Windows, restart the computer". When you click on "Ok" it automatically restarts and takes you back to where this box pops up.

This seems impossible to get passed. I would be grateful if anyone could give me advice.

    Thanks,

    Michael Wilbourn.

Are you trying to upgrade or do a clean install?? Also, remove all but one stick of ram when installing, as this is a known issue for some 64bit machine...

Is everything disconnected? You should have a modem, monitor, and keyboard. You also need an internet connection.

I may have selected the upgrade option instead of installing it fresh. Would that have anything to do withit?...If so how can I rectify?
