I could not use windows System Image because I keep getting the message "This version of System Recovery Options is not compatible with the version of Windows you are trying to repair" and it does not matter if I use the original install disk or the Recovery disk I just made. This is frustrating . . . I can still use the Acronis backup but what the F is wrong with this software that it cant do what it was designed to do.

If I try and do it withing Window it fails at the last step which is to restart the computer. It cant even shut it down and you have to jump through a LOT of hoops to even get to that step.

The only bright spot in today's efforts is that I am now able to boot into all three Operating Systems with all of my drives connected.

BUT . . . There's always a BUT . . . I cannot boot into my Win-7-32 bit OS without having to go through the stupid Boot Manager. It now lists the 32 bit as the default and the 64 bit as "Recovered". But (and this is a good BUT) I do not have the Boot Manager listed in the BIOS boot menu. All of my drives are listed now so I'm making a little progress.

Now to just get rid of the Boot Manager before restoring the Acronis Image . . . I'm off to read up on how to do it. It's been years since I had to do it.

I guess I can mark this as solved even though I have the unsolved issues with System Restore and not being able to use the windows backup.

That's why I have ERUNT and Acronis TI but I hate it when MS software does not work as it's suppose to.

It looked promising at first glance but that's not a solution because it's not the cause and I never get to the screen that's mentioned as part of the solution. And I am using the 64 bit CD versions.

Also, If I ever did get to that screen it would only show one Operating System because I unplugged the other two and only left the one I'm trying to fix and the backup disk with the image on it plugged in.

I read that someone figured that the disk in question has to be on the lowest number AND it has to be listed first in the BIOS boot order. Mine is on the lowest number plug on the MB (#0) but I will have to unplug all but that drive to force it to be at the top of the boot order.

If this works (I'll try it tomorrow) I'll let y'all know.
