Windows 7: Win 7 Home Prem DVD driver missing - replugging USB does not work

As I remember it the seller included a "part" with the sale to appear legal. Yes, I know it's a little shady looking, but hey, that's on the seller. Honestly, it was the only time I ever bought a COA key that was not stuck to a PC. The first key actually didn't work, the seller gave me a different one...... lol. It was an experiment.

but that's just background on the story of the OS .iso file...... thanks for the heads up though Ladyback

You didn't answer my question on post #8
What version of Win 7 64 you want (home, HP, Pro or Ultimate)? I can send you a M$ link for download.
When you try to install, are you able to see the drive? You may need the SATA drivers.

I think you need the SATA chipset driver. Nothing to do with the disk brand.

That sounds like a winner. I actually don't care what version of windows, I was hoping to get the Home Premium installed as that is the COA that is on the laptop.

Any help is appreciated, the simplest solution is the best one!

EDIT:
So the storage driver for the C655 on toshiba support is an .exe file for the Intel Matrix Storage Manager, when I get home from work I can try to load this as the "missing" driver but so far no other drivers that are in .exe format were detected by the windows installer, or will it just "know" this is a storage installer and run it?

i extracted the storage driver to USB.... it was not discovered by the windows 7 installer. I think I am now forced to use the injection option?

No, the installer cannot see the drive. Upon clicking the "INSTALL WINDOWS" button at the initial setup, the process quits with the message about drivers before reaching the HDD screen. I am not allowed to choose where to install windows. I am not sure I have the original windows 7 iso or SP1, but I think you sir for the download and will give this a try! I have a hunch that my iso file is just old and crummy.

The C655-S5049 has a Celeron 900 CPU and GL40 Express Chipset. As it only has 2G of memory, you should install Win 7 32 bits.

The L775D has an AMD Quad-Core A6-3400M CPU r with AMD Radeon™ HD 6520G Graphics. As it has 6G of memory, you should install Win 7 64 bits.

Both are old computers that came with Win 7, so you should have no problems installing Win 7.

As they came with win 7, there should be a COA sticker with the key on each one. Look for it under the laptop and on the battery compartment.

Normally OEM computers come with a Factory Recover option that can be launched from BIOS. It will format the HDD and install an image from the recovery partition.

After downloading the two files, I opted to try the L755D

I burned the x64 .iso you provided to a 4GB USB using Rufus 2.11
The installation is going fine without a hitch so far, the windows files are currently targetting the HDD and installer is expanding....

Other pointless background information...
This will enable me to reinstall Windows 7 home, hopefully on possibly 4 computers, as I have been acquiring a few Toshiba and HP from local adds and refurbishing them. (I actually have 5 Toshibas, L655D L755D, C655 and L775D which I acquired in that order, and after the first one showed windows 10 installed and working on a broken screen, I began to acquire parts to fix it, and ended up with working motherboards attached to screens and keyboards!! damit Ebay! :)).

Did you find the COA sticker with the key?
