Have installed Windows 7 on Cruzer Blade 16gb...have issues!!!

    Dear all,

I've managed to install Win 7 on the above using Win2Usb. However, I am having issues trying to install .net Framework 4 which is required for one of my programs. No matter what I do it will not install.

I've tried the web install program, stand alone program.

I've tried the cleanup tool to start over.

No matter what I do nothing works.

Also windows update throws up an error when I try to update it but I haven't got the code yet as I'm not at home.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Marc

    Hi Mcbgun,

Could be because 16GB isnt big enough, on my barebones rig im using 20GB on a home premium install

As W7 requires temporary files to be created when updating your definately running out of space.

Roy is correct. Get another drive. 128 GB SanDisk only costs US $23.00.

Thanks guys and understood.....my rig is made up of second hand parts which...touchwood....are absolutely fine and have saved me a fortune so I'm bidding on an 128gb SSD and trying to get it for under £40 and just install it on that. Keeps the Mrs happy then as she hates Windows 10!

    Hi mcbgun,

Im not exactly sure what your trying to do, based on your last comment.
Keep the Mrs happy, (i know what you mean)

Did her comp "the Mrs" ORIGINALLY come with W10, or W7???
(W7 machines all have a COA sticker with a back-up key)
Some W10 installs (Pro/Ultimate) come with downgrade rights.
Post HER specs, (computer not body)
