"I am not able to pass the DVD driver missing screen during the beginning of Windows 7 installation.
I want to install Windows 7 Professional with SP1, x64."

"When I get to desktop, I see two drives:
C:\ Which is a boot partition of appr. 500 MB and
X:\ Which is a USB flash drive."

Your post is confusing. On the one hand you say you can't get past the early stages of W7 installation, then in your next post you say you see 2 drives "at the desktop". You can't get to "the desktop" until you are fully booted.

You should not need to install any drivers until the installation is completed. W7 provides its own generic drivers especially for a device like a DVD ROM. You do not need to to install drivers for USB 3, chipset, etc until after boot-up. SATA drives are supported at XP, let alone W7. There's no such thing as primary master, secondary master with SATA. That's old IDE technology that disappeared 10 years ago. I don't understand why or where you're seeing this.

Your 3TB drive is not supported by MBR. You should be in UEFI mode in your BIOS, not legacy mode. MBR cannot support disks larger than 2GB. I'd disconnect the 2TB drive for now. So switch to UEFI in your BIOS to do the installation, and make sure Secure Boot is disabled as well. Check your DVD ROM is first in boot order then save settings. Then go ahead and see if you get the same error messages.

That is desktop in my winpe boot media. There are a lot of drivers in it as well.

The 500mb boot partition is my winpe virtual drive.

Not sure why the target hard drives are not being seen.

SIW2, Megahertz07 - Yes, BIOS sees all the disks normally, the 3T is initialized at Master channel 0 with its name.

I will try tomorrow to get a USB keyboard and to see if it helps.

Botard, I have read multiple threads and the one you are referring to seems interesting but I was not able to find it. Please send a link.
Well, my suggestion to you was explained by bendipa a traditional way for windows 7 installation and the safest way to get drivers is from your motherboard manufacturer's website. But I guess you've been assisted with SIW2 from the start, which I have no idea those drivers the 500 MB partition. Maybe, they have some features relevant to your needs that don't have the traditional installation, good luck.

For future reference, here's the link of clean install. It should be the same for a new drive, just connect no other drives during installation.

Ok, I replaced the wireless keyboard with a wired one and repeated all the approaches - nothing changes.

I did not find addressing of my or similar problem in the clean install tutorial and regarding the branch there to the UEFI BIOS tutorial, I'm not sure what I have to do. Or how in BIOS do I change between UEFI or MBR.

E.g. at the moment my settings are:
PCH SATA Control Mode - IDE
SATA Port0-3 Native Mode - Disabled
    USB Controllers - Enabled
    USB Legacy Function - Enabled
    USB Storage Function - Enabled
    Azalia Codec - Auto
    Onboard H/W LAN - Enabled
    Onboard Serial Port 1 - 3F8/IRQ4
    HDD S.M.A.R.T. Capability - Disabled
Delay For HDD (Secs) - 0
IDE Channel 0 Master - Auto (other options are Manual and None)
Access Mode - Large (other options are: CHS, LBA, Auto)

I tried to explain in post 11 that IDE is outdated technology that disappeared at least 10 years ago. SATA drives are not supported by IDE, which is why I suspect you are getting these 'driver' errors when you try to install W7. SATA technology applies to DVD ROMs as well as HDDs. I can only assume you have an old motherboard and BIOS that supports both IDE and SATA controllers. There was a transitional period to include both on mobos in the mid '00s.

Anyway, I am assuming that all your drives are SATA - the 3T HDD will certainly be. The support technology for SATAs is AHCI. Somewhere in your BIOS settings there should be a setting for SATAs/HDD, which you need to find. Select AHCI instead of IDE. Also your SATA ports 0-3 should be enabled. I take it you you know how to tell the difference between IDE and SATA drives. The connectors at the back are very different. If not sure, google it and also check that your DVD ROM is a SATA. It may be an IDE if it was the original one.

Although you can use an MBR BIOS you need a UEFI one to support your 3T drive, else you can only use 2T. If your mobo is that old you may not have a UEFI BIOS. In order to tell if your BIOS is a UEFI you should see a 'boot' tab. If you go to that and if UEFI options are listed then you know.

    From the GA-H55-UD3H specs GA-H55-UD3H (rev. 1.0) | Motherboard - GIGABYTE Global
The MB has one IDE connector (IDE Master / slave).
As advised, you should set IDE to disabled and SATA to AHCI.
It's on page 48 of the manual http://download1.gigabyte.us/Files/M...h55-ud3h_e.pdf

SATA Port0-3 Native Mode (Intel H55 Chipset)
    Enabled
Allows the SATA controllers to operate in Native IDE mode. Enable Native IDE mode
if you wish to install operating systems that support Native mode. (Default)

    Hi!
I suggest you transfer all data from your 2TB disk to your 3TB disk. Then install windows on your 2TB. It will probably solve your problem

I took it to service and I was told that since my MBO lacks UEFI I have to either change the whole PC config, or put my 3 TB drive as secondary and 2 TB for primary. So that is what I will do. They say if 3 TB is primary and only 2 TB are seen that in this config there may be some problems during work. So, there seems to not be workaround to this problem from my perspective. But at least I have a solution to go to.

On one of my old computers(win7x64). I have one 1TB HDD as a boot and one 4TB HDD for my personal data.
There is an update to windows that allows you to use large hard disks. But i don't remember the KB number. And it's so long time ago i installed it, so I do not remember if it was possible to have the whole disk as one partition, but I think it should be possible. I did split my 4TB disk into three partitions for different purposes. two 1TB and one 2TB

You can use gpt for the 3 tb drive and use it for storage.
