Installing Windows 7 SP2 x64 Contact your vendor for an updated driver

After not finding solution in 7 similar topics in this forum and two dozens of topics on other forums, I feel I am missing something, please teach me to do it right.

I am not able to pass the DVD driver missing screen during the beginning of Windows 7 installation.
I want to install Windows 7 Professional with SP1, x64.

    My configuration is as follows:
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD3H rev 1.0 F7
    Processor: Intel Core i5 760 (4x 2.8 GHz, Lynnfield, 1MB+8MB, 82W)
    HDD 1 (Primary master): WD 3TB RED, 3.5", 7200rpm
HDD 2 (Secondary master): Seagate Barracuda 2TB
    DVD: LG DVD+-RW, SATA

HDD 2 is full of data, HDD 1 is new, empty, out of the box.

The computer was never overclocked and despite being old I do not use it often, and it is well preserved.

    I tried:
-> To install either from bootable DVD or from bootable USB thumb drive (HDD mode)
-> Switch USD ports during installation
-> Replace DVD out of the tray
-> Setting all BIOS settings to default, then putting settings to enable IDE and legacy boot
-> During installation when offered to browse for missing drivers:
    a) Install all drivers for this motherboard from vendors website (Gigabyte)
    b) Install drivers for USB 3.0 from vendor Gigabyte that I found on a Gigabyte local varsion website
    c) Install chipset drivers for USB and SATA from Intel's website for series 3400 (latest released in 2013)
    d) Installing all drivers from the directory where drivers for fully patched Windows 8.11 x64 that was on the previous HDD on the same computer. Besides drivers taken directly from Windows/System 32/etc. folders, I also used double driver application to backup all the drivers and tried these.

The only alternative to the famous (link screen was) message I reached is for USB drivers, it says: The [Intel(R) 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset Family USB Universal Host Controller - 3B3F (C:\...WIN7\ibexusb.inf)] device driver could not be installed. Contact your vendor for an updated driver.

    I'm outta ideas, please help.

Copy the boot.wim from this iso into the sources folder of your installation usb.

It should load to a desktop. From there, run setup17514 from under the start menu\install folder

    17514x64-v5.iso

Is your Win 7 installation disk SP1?
Do you have mouse once you boot Win 7 installation disk?
The new disk (3T) is probably low format as UEFI - GPT and your BIOS is probably Legacy - MBR. If so, you must make two partitions, one no bigger than 2.2T.
The only missing driver I can think is the SATA, but don't think that is the problem.

Make sure you have disconnected the data disk (HDD2) from the MB before you try to install Win 7 or you may end with the boot loader on one disk and the OS on the other disk, or loose all your data.

My apologies, it is Windows 7 Professional SP1 x64, and it is not SP2 as I wrongly wrote in the title of the thread.

SIW2, doing as you say brings me to the screen Load Driver: A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now. Note:...

Megahertz07, thank you for the advice. I disconnected HDD2, I still get same results if I try the approach SIW2 suggested or booting from the Win7 DVD. I tried searching those terms you mentioned but WD does not offer a driver for SATA (at least such that I would recognize it).

Yes, my Windows installation disk is SP1.
I do have mouse once I boot Windows 7 installation disk.

    Worthy mentioning may be that:
    1. I bought the configuration (without the HDD) in 2010, and my BIOS is legacy.
    2. My mouse is connected to the USB, it works normally at any point during the installation.
    3. I can connect keyboard only to a USB port. My keyboard is Logitech wireless keyboard.

    Regards,

    Marin

Boot the media you made including my boot.wim

When you get to the desktop, can you see your drives?

If not, run Pnputil All from under the start menu\drivers folder. That should load the drivers from the repository.

If you still can't see the drives, then check in device manager to see what is missing.

If you can see the drives, use winntsetup to browse to install.wim inside the sources folder of your usb stick and install Pro to your hard drive.

No. When I get to desktop, I see two drives:
C:\ Which is a boot partition of appr. 500 MB and
X:\ Which is a USB flash drive.
After running PnP Util All, I noticed that C:\ was flash drive and X:\ was a boot partition.
In Device Manager after running PnP Util All missing drivers are for: Other devices -> PCI Simple Communications Controller and
Communications Port (COM1). In drives I still see only those two.
    Thanks for your help

On BIOS, you should see the 3T disk.

Back to the Missing drivers, as you have a MB that is quite old, you shoudn't have issues.
The only hardware that I can think that needs a driver that is not on the Win 7 installation disk is the wireless keyboard.
Try to use a normal USB or PS2 keyboard.

SIW2, Megahertz07 - Yes, BIOS sees all the disks normally, the 3T is initialized at Master channel 0 with its name.

I will try tomorrow to get a USB keyboard and to see if it helps.

Botard, I have read multiple threads and the one you are referring to seems interesting but I was not able to find it. Please send a link.
