Techbench says "File not available for download." Do I need a password to use the site?
Which ISO file are you trying to download exactly?

Great! I need to understand this. You had been saying all the iso versions are the same. What did I do wrong?

They are obviously not all the same!

What I said was, that if you downloaded Win 7 Ultimate, then you could make all the versions of Win 7 x64 [Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate] available from that by removing the ei.cfg file in the sources folder.

    I hope this helps!

Yup. After I do that, do I repack the file before installation, or do I use it unpacked?

You will NOT have to do anything with the downloaded ISO as you have Win 7 Ultimate SP1 x64 [see the quote from my post below]. You only need to delete the ei.cfg file if you had Home Basic, Home Premium or Professional. You just need to burn the ISO to a DVD or USB.

If the version of Windows you are installing is Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate, then there is NO need to remove the ei.cfg file as instructed above.

Yes, I always have same version in both computers. Thanks to all who helped.

(good thing I didn't recycle the XP yet. I found long-lost data on it.)
