Can't install Win 7 on ASUS laptop - running into different errors

Hi guys. I've been going to great lengths recently trying to install Win 7 HPrem x64 as dual-boot on the machine specified in my details, yet, so far - to no success.
I initially set it up with Win 10 since ASUS provide drivers compatible only with it, yet I wanted to have Seven at least as dual boot. I had disabled 'Secure boot' in UEFI so everything was expected to go smoothly.
At first I tried to install it by simply launching the setup.exe from the ISO without any physical bootable device and while installation went through, it seemed botched - wireless card, USB ports, touchpad and even USB-mouse - NONE of these WORKED! I clearly recall on my old Samsung laptop, after a fresh Win 7 installation at least the touchpad worked for sure before any driver was installed, and the USB mouse does not require drivers - it's a plug-n-play device. Yet here they didn't.
I assumed maybe the installation did not unfold properly (since the ISO is supposed to be raw original - with a download link from Wincert tool, I guess it mustn't be broken itself) and so decided to make a bootable USB-drive and make a classic setup. So, I got Windows 7 USB DVD download tool from MS website and put it to work. The result was the following message:

Files copied successfully. However, we were unable to run bootsect to make the USB device bootable. If you need assistance with bootsect, please click the "Online Help" link above for more information.

I looked this up and on some other forum ppl shared personal experience that content was still workable and is safe to ignore the pop up, that it appeared because Win 7 ISOs were anyway bootable by default.. So I decided to go on with it, rebooted and the USB was listed simply as Generic flash disk 8.07. I chose it and started the setup, only to stumble upon this:

I have no idea why it is but it threw me out of installation.
So I returned to my installation guide - How to Install Windows 7 From USB (Flash Drive, Ext HD), since in the end he mentions this:

When the Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool formats the flash drive during the process above, it does so using NTFS, a file system that some UEFI systems won't boot from if on a USB stick.

• To get the USB drive to boot on these computers, you should copy the data from the flash drive onto a folder on your computer, then reformat the flash drive using the older FAT32 file system, and then copy that same data back onto the drive.

I thought may be this is the issue and performed the steps, then rebooted again. This time my boot options looked like this:

I naturally chose the 'UEFI flash drive' option, after I'd seen where the other leads, but when selected what it does is only to return me to the exactly same blue field of boot options.
Please, help me out with this, I'm totally lost!

Welcome to the forum. First thing have you checked there are drivers for win7 as there might not be any? Why not run it as a free virtual PC with virtual box

Win 7 installation disk doesn't have new drivers needed for a Skylake. You will need to add them, specially USB 3.x and SATA.

- Fist of all, you must find out if the disk is Legacy - MBR or UEFI - GPT (I would say it's UEFI - GPT). Under Win 10, open disk management. On the View menu - top - select Disk List.

- Under Win 10, with disk management, shrink the C: partition to make space to Win 7 (85G).

- Add the USB 3.x and SATA drivers to win 7 installation disk.

Hi again. It's possible the driver request during installation was triggered by the fact I'd put the USB in the 3.0 port. Only later I read in another thread here that win 7 by itself is incompatible with 3.0 standard. I shall check this out, is this the reason, when I have time, maybe tomorrow - put it in the 2.0 port and make a new attempt.. Then I'll report what happened
@samuria virtual OS will be a last resort, if nothing else works. I've had Win 10 hog on my HDD spin load enough by itself I can only dread how much the system would freeze with a virtual machine on top..

@Megahertz07 Yes, it's UEFI - GPT. I've taken care of the partitions. Thank you for the links and tutorial, I'll look into them tomorrow.

@SIW2 Thank you too. We will see if it's actually drivers issue.. I thought Win installation was knee-deep waters, but now under UEFI seems there are a lot of hidden rocks..

SIW2 is the man with the fantastic tools.
My tutorial is 2 years old, still work but there is this tool that SIW2 provided that should be more easy to work with.
Read the tutorial to understand what is going to be done by the tool.
As I wrote before, you will have to add to the installation disk USB 3.x and SATA.

I understand your problem fully as I went through the same saga before SIW2 helped me to resolve the problem. You may not have the same specs as I, but the final result will probably be the same. All the best.
