how to make os option menu appear in a dual boot pc?

    Hello
I have a costum built pc with 2 hdds
One is 2 terra and the second is 1 terra
I installed win7 on the first then unpluged it
I then installed win 10 on the escond one and plugged both hdds to my pc

What happened is that my pc went straight to win 10 without letting me choose wich os i want.
I changed priorities of boot options to win7 .. the result was direct boot to win 7 again without the menu.

So how can i make the options menu show up so that i can choose which os to run.

    Thanks in advance.

From the start menu type in msconfig. Under the boot tab make sure that timeout is not set for 0 seconds.

Boot into win10. Open an adminstrator command prompt and type:

    bcdboot win7driveletter:\windows

So if your win7 volume has the letter D, you would type:
    bcdboot D:\windows

Then boot into win 7 and do the same but using win 10 drive letter.

    bcdboot win10driveletter:\windows

The computer will boot the HDD set as priority on BIOS (Now win 10)
During POST launch boot menu (F8?). See your MB manual to see witch F? launches the boot menu.
If you have two OS's on different drives, choose the drive you want to boot from.

This will only work if there is a bootloader on each drive.

It will work, because he installed each OS with the other drive unplugged.

I personally use the Bios method on the X299, I just enable the W7 M.2 in the Bios when I want to use it, and disable the W10 SSD.

This keeps them totally separate from each other. I rarely use W7 so it`s no big deal, and very simple to do.

And you should remove the letter from either OS when you`re booted into either OS, so they don`t see each other, unless for some reason you want them to.

The problem is that in each hdd i have a partition labeled c and in each one it's the partition that i have installed the os on ...
    Both are c ..

    In win7 . C goes for win 7 and h for 10
In win 10 its the otherway around .

I do have however easeus partition manager but can i change the labels of my os partitions without affecting the os?

Forgive my ignorance as i am a doctor and dont have much knowledge about this.
