Of those three, only KB3150220 is in the pack. No way of excluding it that I know of.

You might be better using dism++ for your purposes.

Or you can try wkeller's updater. You would need to comment out the relevant updates in his batch file

Integrate7 script automatically download and slipstream all updates!

I looked at his. Unfortunately he starts with the convenience rollup from 2016 which includes the KB3108669. Thanks anyhow.

Dism++ is your best bet.
You select which updates you want from the list it shows after it has done a quick scan of the mounted image.
It will pop up a window if you accidentally select something with telemetry - click cancel and it won't be integrated.

Siw2,
I ran my version of 7UPDATER it seemed to run without errors but wimlib info of the final install.wim gave me for professional and ultimate Idition ID = HomeBasic.

So I ran 7UPDATERV22D with same drivers and same UpdatePack7R2-19.4.10.exe.
I choose d to install UpdatePack with IE11 option and it gave me an error that it coudan't mount the install.wim file (see attached image).
The updates drivers slipstream without error, but after it finished, wimlib info of the final install.wim gave me for ultimate Idition ID = HomeBasic.
I have no idea how did the ultimate Idition ID became HomeBasic and I don't know how to work with "for" cmd.
Can you please help.

I can't reproduce your error.

Don't worry about the Edition ID. That is normal when you use dism to change editions. Some of the changes are pending. They complete during setup.

On the
:CreateWinre
CLS & ECHO. & ECHO CREATING WinRE.WIM... & ECHO.
BIN\wimlib-imagex.exe export "%WIMDir%\sources\boot.wim" 2 "%TP%\WinRE.wim" --boot
Rem add winpeshl.ini to new winre wim
IF EXIST "%TP%\BIN\wim-update.txt" DEL /Q "%TP%\BIN\wim-update.txt"
echo add '%TP%\BIN\peshl%wimarch%\Windows' '\Windows' >> "%TP%\BIN\wim-update.txt"
ECHO.
cd "bin"
wimlib-imagex.exe update "%TP%\WinRE.wim" 1 < "wim-update.txt" >nul
set newre=1
cd /d "%TP%"

It creates WinRE.Win but when it runs
wimlib-imagex.exe update "%TP%\WinRE.wim" 1 < "wim-update.txt" >nul
set newre=1

It gives a message: The system cannot find the path specified.
It doesn't add peshl%wimarch%\Windows to WimRE.wim

Can you help?

Okay I checked out DISM++. Nice tool but unfortunately the particular KB I need does not show up I am guessing MS must have rolled it into a cumulative update somewhere. I may have to install the update and then see if I can uninstall that particular KB.

A quick question on cumulative updates: Can you just install the latest one (i.e. will it include all the old ones?) or do you have to install one after the other? If they are truly cumulative then how can you prevent things like meltdown that are part of the monthly quality roll up (e.g. Security Monthly quality Roll-up for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB4056894)) from being installed by a later update?

Thank you for all of your help!

mega,

This line changes directory to bin

Code:
cd /d "BIN"
This line assumes that wimlib-imagex.exe and wimupdate.txt are both in the bin directory

Code:
wimlib-imagex.exe update "%TP%\WinRE.wim" 1 < "wim-update.txt"

This is how I do it when using different arches of wimlib:

There is no need to cd/d bin when using %wimlib% variable. Also need to tell %wimlib% where wimupdate.txt is.

Code:
IF EXIST "%TP%\bin\wim-update.txt" DEL /Q "%TP%\bin\wim-update.txt"
echo.
echo add '%TP%\BIN\peshl%wimarch%\Windows' '\Windows' >> "%TP%\bin\wim-update.txt"
echo.
%WimLib% update "%TP%\Temp\WinRE.wim" 1 < "%TP%\bin\wim-update.txt"

Dism++ can uninstall it afterwards. Then hide it in windows update so wu doesn't keep nagging you.

Just install what monthly updates dism++ has already ticked for you.

Set WU to notify only. When WU notifies you there are new updates, fire up dism++ and it will list them - if you tick one to install with telemetry or other junk - dism++ will pop up a window, click cancel and dism++ installs the rest.

Then go to WU and hide the thing you cancelled in dism++, to stop WU nagging you.

If you make a mistake, you can always uninstall an update, and you can use Steve Gibson's Inspectre to make sure:
GRC | InSpectre

To disable/enable it.

cute little thing written in machine code, which is why it is so tiny.
