Reinstalling WIN 10 - Dual Booting with WIN 7

    Reinstalling WIN 10 - Dual Booting with WIN 7


    Somehow Windows 10 was completely deleted from my 120 SSD. I was dual booting at one time with Win 7 but that quit working before losing Win 10. Disk Management has my info all wrong & I can't figure out how to delete Healthy Recovery Partitions.
    I have a 1TB Hard Drive that I had WIN 7 & Storage on in 2 partitions. I hope someone can help me straighten this out before I install WIN 10 again.

    You have 2 recovery partitions which do you want to remove and why? If your going to install 10 remove second drive boot 10 delete all partitions and let it create what it needs so you have a clean install

    I don't need either recovery partition. Windows 10 goes on the 100 GB SSD. I tried to delete the recovery partitions but it didn't work. Should I install Windows 10 first?

    What makes you sure your win 10 is gone?
    Your Disk 0 (120G) has a 100G NTFS. It's active and a system partition. I would say that your win 10 is still there, only it doesn't have a letter under win 7.

    Originally, I was working to figure out why one user could not open Chrome & the other user could. I ended up using Hiren's Boot CD (which I have used many times before) & I don't know what I did, but when I went to look at Windows 10, there was absolutely nothing there. When I tried to boot my computer as I usually do, the message was there was no operating system.

    So, should I go ahead and install Windows 10, then worry about all the other partitions?

    Also, I don't recall ever having E: System Reserved.

    Yes, I think you lost everything on disk 0.
    Reinstall win 10.
    - VERY IMPORTANT - Disconnect disk 1 from MB (Power or SATA cable).
    - Boot from Win 10 installation disk, go to install - advanced - Delete ALL partitions, create new, choose big NTFS partition.

    Clean Install Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials

    After Win 10 is running and updated, shutdown and connect disk 1
