Problem Installing Windows 7/10 on Hard Drive with 0 mb of space

    If you don't detach disk 0 when installing Win 7 on disk 1, it will put the win 7 boot loader on win 10 (disk 0). Then you can only boot win 7 with win 10 installed. They won't be independent disks / OSs.

    actually, i changed my mind. the drive is dead PERMANENTLY. I have to replace it.

    Why don't you buy a small SSD (128G - ~US$30) SSD for windows and programs on it and use the HDD for data only. You will have the speed of a SSD and the space of a HDD at low cost.

    because a ssd is expensive in Hong Kong. I can only replace it with a used hard drive with the same capacity. thanks to my dad.
