[1] Where exactly did you download the ISO from?
[2] Have you tried booting into the installation disc and running Startup Repair?
[3] Have you got any external devices attached when you boot? If so, disconnect them and then boot!

    Hi lukdyboy9559,

This could be where your problem is. You should ONLY download a genuine ISO from a trusted source!

[1] Have you still got the recovery partition [factory reset]?
[2] What version/edition of Win 7 is it?

You will NOT have to pay.

Let's just try to see if this works first.

In Safe Mode [I think this is the correct method for Toshiba]:-

[1] Goto Control Panel and click Recovery.
    [2] Click Advanced Recovery Methods.
[3] Click Return your computer to factory condition.

If not, try this => Toshiba - Press and hold 0 [Zero] BEFORE and DURING boot to get into the restore option.

If that doesn't work I will give you a link where you can download a genuine Win 7 Home Premium ISO [FREE].

    OK then.

You will need your Product Key for the version of Windows that you are going to re-install. This is the ONLY version that you will be able to activate. On a laptop, it will either be on a sticker on the bottom, or in the battery compartment. Can you read the sticker Product Code?

    Brilliant.

What I suggest is that you download a new Win 7 Home Premium SP1 ISO and burn it to an installation disc and clean install.

The process below [you will obviously need to do this on another computer] will download the latest and last Windows 7 SP1 [Final] ISO [build 6.1.7601 - July 2009] for your version and bit-type.

[1] Download Windows ISO Downloader.exe [direct download] to the Desktop and run it.
[2] On the right-hand side of the screen under the Windows tab, select Windows 7.
[3] In the Select edition drop down box, select the Win 7 edition you want an ISO for and click Confirm.
[4] In the Select the product language drop down box, select the language you want the ISO to be and click Confirm.
[5] Under the Downloads section, click the ISO bit-type you want to download and save it to the Desktop.

It is advisable to download the current drivers for your OS prior to the clean install and save them to a USB. Once the clean install has completed, turn off automatic WU’s [Windows Updates] and install the drivers from the USB in the following order:
    • Motherboard/Chipset
    • Video Adapter
    • Network Interface Card (NIC)
    • Audio Adapter
    • Wireless Network Card or LAN Adapter
Obviously sometimes you will need to install the LAN driver first in order to be able to get online to find and download the other drivers. Often, when you run M$ WU [Windows Update], it will download the drivers for you!

    I hope this helps!
