Can I image Win 7 installations to multiple PCs, and activate later?

    Hi all,

What's the best way to install Win 7 + programs to 3 PCs, and avoid the time (several hours each) and hassle of installing each machine individually? The PCs in question are identical except for HD capacities, and are non-networked.

Can I create a system image of the first installation before activating it, and apply that unactivated image to the other 2 PCs, then activate as usual? Will machine IDs exist in the imaged installation preventing activation of the 2 restored installations?... or are the IDs set during activation?

    Any help appreciated.
