I am about to buy a refurbished workstation. Some clarification needed

Hi!
I might buy a refurbished workstation.
The specs state that it comes with no OS installed but with a Win7 Pro COA.
Does this mean I download win 7 pro windows, install it, and then enter the COA key at the sticker?
Or buy an OEM version of windows 7 pro?

Yes, that should work. You will have to assume the key isn't being used elsewhere - but it depends what type of activation.

If it is oem SLP, then you might not need the COA key - you can use something like 7oeminstaller instead

I bought a refurbished HP SFF PC. The COA sticker says "Windows 7 Pro for refurbished PC's". I haven't turned it on yet to see if it has a bunch of bloat ware from HP. Can I download the Windows 7 Pro .iso and do a clean install using the COA sticker? I bought the computer to mess around...

VHD for Virtual PC: clarification needed; max size: partition or disk?
I am hoping to bring up an image of my XP Pro box inside Windows 7 Ultimate x64 as a Virtual PC. Originally the boot partition on the XP box was 232GB but I used Acronis Disk Manager to shrink it to 125GB, resulting in unallocated space of 107GB on the HD. Inside Disk Management console it...

Clarification needed on activation?
I've seen a LOT of discussion about Windows 7 licensing and activation, but I have a technical question about it (vs. a LEGAL one)? As an on-site service tech, I've run into several situations where users (mostly out of ignorance of the legalities of the licensing) attempted to re-use a license...
