Need help to install w7 on w10 laptop

so i got a used Giga-Byte Technology Aero 15X v8-BK4 laptop and tried to insert a mutly boot w7 cd in my external cd/dvd drive and had no luck. so i did some digging around and you can get it to load buy going to the bios and changing it to legacy mode. so tried that and i get all the way to were you select your drive but non show up. and cant seem to find the drivers. from what i read you cant get it to work doing this way with a dvd/cd. (or latest with out some command prom stuff)

so i did more digging around the net and found a few tools that take an iso and add nvme drivers to the iso but has to be put on a flash drive. i first tried my sd to mico sd 32gb and well kinda worked. there are 2 setting from what i gathered when using the tool one for Legacy BIOS other for UEFI

so what i gathered for UEFI bios Partition scheme, select GPT. File system, select FAT32
and Legacy BIOS Partition scheme, select MBR. File system, select NTFS.

so using rufus i could pick one (in my case i got 2 of the same flashdrive so i just did both)
i crated a partition on the mane m.2 that came with the laptop one in fat32 and the other ntfs.

after i got the flash drive with drivers i click on it and hit setup and get to were its copyes files and when it gets to extracting files it gets to about 20% then restarts the laptop and it gets stuck on the starting windows screen. some times there's a wight bar's were it loads 2 times before the windows loading screen and some times i get it to have the 4 color windows logo load in. and that's as far as i got.

so i thought it was my m.2 drive and w/e partitions and w10 is installed on it messing with it so i got an Samsung 860evo m.2 ssd. and on the way i got a SAMSUNG 970 EVO M.2 nvme on the way.

i download windows ios download tool and got the only w7 iso it let me download. i got a few other iso off the net and i tried ripping the iso from my cd to an flash drive.

other tools i got and tried. msi smart tool. gigabit windows installation usb tool. ms windows 7 usb /down loader tool. ruffus. widows iso down loader.

    any ideas? thx

Welcome to the forum. Before you do anything are there drivers for win7? its possible your bios has secure boot set which will stop any none registered operating system. Are you wanting to duel boot or get rid of 10.

Your Laptop has a Coffee Lake CPU ( i7-8750H) and chipset.
I had heard that there are no Win 7 drivers for Coffee Lake.

I'm surprised that you went so far.
Fist you must have to set BIOS properly.
    - Secure boot and fast boot must be disabled.
    - If you have an option to select the OS on BIOS, select other.
    - Win 7 can be installed on a Legacy-MBR or UEFI-GPT

    As basic rule:
To install as Legacy-MBR you MUST boot the installation disk as Legacy-MBR.
To install as UEFI-GPT you MUST boot the installation disk as UEFI-GPT.

You must add the USB 3.x and M.2 nvme drivers to the installation disk.
You will find the drives and more Update your Win 7 installation media.

you have some challenges but you should be able to get it worked out. The two posts before me have vital info you need to heed to get win7 to install, and here is some more info you will need

Intel coffee lake graphics will not work on win7, so once you are done getting everything working your Intel UHD630 graphics will be loaded with only the Standard SVGA driver, which is usually a show stopper. But, it won't be a show stopper for you because you have also a nvidia graphics adapter in that laptop, so just use that.

Intel coffee lake does not have a win7 driver for usb3 which is usually a show stopper also, however if you study the below link in detail you'll see that you can extract the Win10 coffee lake usb3 driver and use that on win7. Its not a trivial process though as you'll need to integrate it into your win7 installation disk. Everything is in the thread...
How to install Windows 7 on Coffee Lake PC (Z370 chipset MB - Asus Maximus X Hero) - Overclock.net - An Overclocking Community

Windows update also will not work for you on win7 with coffee lake and you will get an "unsupported hardware" message. But the wufuc tool will fix that, so no problem. The description does not mention coffee lake but that's because the author never updated the description after coffee lake came out. It will work.
GitHub - zeffy/wufuc: Disables the "Unsupported Hardware" message in Windows Update, and allows you to continue installing updates on Windows 7 and 8.1 systems with Intel Kaby Lake, AMD Ryzen, or other unsupported processors.

You are lucky in that the laptop's wireless card is an intel 8265, which does have win7 drivers. Many new laptops come with an intel 9260, and there are no drivers that will work on win7 for it.

And though I hate to steer you this way since you may have already overwritten your boot drive, but if not, you can now easily modify win10 to operate virtually identically to win7, which means all these driver issues go away.

so i looked at gigabite website and there are no w7 drivers.

yes secure boot was on and was a pain in the back side but googled on how to disable it. registered you mean legit? i don't have any legit copy's of w7 just a cd my dad made my that has all the w7 on it all thow i only need ultra 64 and maybe on rare cases were a game wont work on 64 bit. my dad ran in to this. but there is a crack on the cd and a key gen. if i do need a legit cd key were can i get one cheap and repayable?

so right now the m.2 nvme has partions with w10 install files on it and i kinda just want to keep it in case i cant get anything to work so i order an 970 evo.

so at this point idk if i duel boot or just do w7 or if all els fails vista. the reson i dont like w10 is all the auto updates and kortana and other spy stuff on it if there an eays way to get rid of it i might try that if thats the only way. at some point i will have to use w10 for the drectx 12 games but ied only use w10 for gaming.

im running out of time im going on vacation and wanted to use the laptop on the plane or incase we get stuck at the air port so on and i leave june 7 so not much time to mess around to get w10 working right (unless there an iso that has all the garbage gone?) i have watch videos on how to disable things in w10.

ya the bios os type are UEFI os and Legacy os
also under the advanced tabe there Legacy USB Support Enable,Dissable, auto

ya i found a program that adds usb 3 drivers and nvme drivers too the iso but only works in UEFI os if i many click the install exe on the flash drive and i get all the way to were it copys the w7 files 100% and extracting 20% and restarts and then stuck on the windows loading screen.

in Legacy os it cant find the drives for nvme even thow i added it to the os.

in the long run probably trying to get w10 look and feel like 7 might be the better option in the long run but im running out of time so i might just put up with w10 for the week and get some games installed.
