Want to move windows 7 ultimate off of my Dell E6510

I have purchaced a nice 3d workstation with a 980ti and 16 gig of ram it has a fast I7 @ 6600 A good deal but it turns out I the windows was faked. A lot of work for me now. I have to do two new installs to pull this off and I may end up just buying windows 7 again next month but I see its price has gone up a lot.
I wish to take the windows 7 ultimate that I installed on my dell e6510 when I did not know I could download windows 7 pro iso file.
Now that I know I can download a iso file and install it on my e6510 I will go ahead and do so.
But how do I find out if Microsoft is going to cooperate with moving the licence. ?

    I think it is
slmgr /dlv and then I type in the activation ID
What happens in the case that the older PC mobo goes bad ? HOw do I go about it then ?

Do you have a product key for Pro edition? Or are you going to download a DELL iso which should activate if you have the matching slic in bios.

I am not looking forward to this chore. I think I will do it on new hard drives at least so its not so disruptive ! I clone my drives monthly because I hate it when I have to do clean installs. It drives me crazy it seams like endless interruptions in workflow for weeks to come. But right now win7 pro is at 280 dollars - I purchased the ultimate version from new egg about 2 years ago for less than that.
    Thank you SIW2.

the dell lattitude e6510 is showing the product key for windows 7 pro inside where the battery is. I hope this will activate a iso I downloaded from a place that I found on this site. Its windows 7 64 bit As far as I know Dell will not allow us to have windows 7 anymore.

If the e6150 came with win7 Pro, then you shouldn't need to buy another license.
Most likely there is a slic table in the bios.

If so, then you only need to install pro edition. If you use the standard
    MS win7x64 pro iso

Skip the key while installing. That gives a 30 day grace period. Then run 7oeminstaller from here

OR, you could download the DELL iso - which should activate automatically.

But the DELL ISO it is big because it includes several languages
